Chandigarh 25 January ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Nearly a dozen different organizations of Chandigarh have united under one banner to cancel the privatization of the electricity department by the Chandigarh Administration. Today, in a meeting called by Yuva Kisan Ekta and Gramin Sangharsh Samiti, representatives of various organizations unanimously announced a 12-member committee to struggle under the banner of "Bijli Bachao Manch". This meeting was jointly chaired by Kripal Singh, President of Naujwan Kisan Ekta and Daljit Singh Palasaura, President of Pendu Sangharsh Samiti. Addressing this meeting, various speakers said that the Chandigarh Administration is going to oppress the people of Chandigarh. Which they will not tolerate. They said that they will not let the electricity department, which is earning profits by providing good services with less employees and providing cheap electricity to the people, go into private hands at any cost and will strongly oppose this action of the administration. A 12-member coordination committee of various organizations was also announced to run the ongoing struggle against privatization more smoothly. Through which anti-privatization actions will start. On this occasion, a unanimous resolution was passed in the meeting that a protest march will be taken out from Kisan Bhawan Sector 35 to Sector 17 Plaza on January 31 at 5 pm to raise voice against the privatization being done by the administration. Speaking in this regard, committee members Kripal Singh, Joga Singh, Sharanjit Singh Baidwan and Daljit Singh Palasora said that this protest march will be peaceful and people from all over Chandigarh will participate in it. The 12-member committee elected today includes Kripal Singh, Rajinder Singh from Naujwan Kisan Ekta, Joga Singh, Daljit Singh Palasora, Sharanjit Singh Baidwan from Tarksheel Society, Rajinder Singh Burail from Pendu Sangharsh Committee, Dinesh Kumar from CITU and Madam Asha Rana. Janwadi Mahila Samiti, Dhyan Singh Pensioner Association, Baljinder Singh Bittu FASWEK, Sukhjit Singh Sukha Punjabi Manch Chandigarh and Balwinder Singh have been included in this committee. About four dozen leaders of various organizations and institutions participated in this meeting.
