Government Served Contempt Notice Over Non-Payment of Salaries to Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti Employees The High Court had directed the State Government to ensure timely payment of salaries to the employees Chandigarh 14 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The issue of non-payment of salaries and other dues to employees working in various Zila Parishads and Panchayat Samitis across Punjab since March 2026 has taken a serious turn. In this regard, the Punjab Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad Employees Association (Regd.), through Advocate Mukesh Pandit, has issued a contempt notice to the Administrative Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayats, Punjab, and the Deputy Controller (Finance & Accounts) of the department.
