Central University of Punjab commissions ‘CU Punjab Radio 89.6 FM’ community radio to strengthen education, empowerment and community development Bathinda 3 December ( PDL ) :  The Central University of Punjab on Wednesday commissioned its community radio station, ‘CU Punjab Radio 89.6 FM’, establishing a powerful new platform for education, empowerment and community development that connects the University directly with the people. The community radio station was commissioned by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, at the University campus in Village Ghudda, District Bathinda, in the august presence of the Special Guest, AICTE Chairperson, Prof. T. G. Sitharam. Dr. Sapna Nanda Appointed as Regular Principal of Chandigarh’s Govt. College of Education Chandigarh 2 December ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Dr. Sapna Nanda, Associate Professor has been promoted as the first UPSC-appointed regular Principal of Government College of Education, Sector 20-D, Chandigarh, w.e.f. December 1, 2025 by the office of Director Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration. She was appointed as an Assistant Professor in 2002 by UPSC and was given the additional charge of Principal of Govt. College of Yoga Health & Education, Chandigarh in 2019.
