He also demanded Rs 50 crore to Rs 70 crores annual research grant for the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to improve the research facilities for better agriculture. Central University of Punjab Professor Invited by Chinese University to Teach Punjabi Language Bathinda 18 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : In a significant step towards promoting Indian language and culture at the global level, a professor from the Central University of Punjab (CU Punjab), Bathinda, has been invited by a Chinese university to teach the Punjabi language. Prof. Zameerpal Kaur Sandhu Bajwa, Professor in the Department of Punjabi and former Dean of the School of Languages, Literature and Culture at CU Punjab, has been invited by Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), China, to serve as a Foreign Expert in Punjabi Language and South Asian Studies for the academic session 2026–27.
