Warring seeks answers from BJP over smuggling of drugs into India Says, saffron party playing friendly match with its B-team in Punjab on drugs Asserts, buck stops at union Home Minister Amit Shah Chandigarh 17 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today questioned the Bharatiya Janata Party government at the centre over the smuggling of huge quantity of drugs into India, particularly through Punjab borders, saying that the buck stops at the union Home Minister Amit Shah, who controls the Border Security Force. Reacting to the proposed ‘yatra’ of the BJP against drugs in Punjab, Warring said, it is indeed a fact that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has not only failed to curb the drugs, but has added to the problem. He said, the AAP has been a complete disaster in curbing the drugs. But, he added, the BJP government at the centre cannot escape the responsibility either. CU Punjab Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour, Calls for Nasha Mukt Yuva and Viksit Bharat Bathinda 16 August ( PDL ) : Central University of Punjab (CU Punjab) celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm, bringing together the University fraternity to remember the sacrifices behind India’s freedom and reaffirm its commitment to nation-building. The celebrations began with the singing of the National Song. To mark the occasion, the Hon’ble Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ramakrishna Wusirika unfurled the National Flag and the University Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the University Anthem.
