ਖਹਿਰਾ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਭਾਰਤ–ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਪਾਰ ਸਮਝੌਤੇ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਦੇਸ਼-ਵਿਆਪੀ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ/ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ 13 ਫਰਵਰੀ ( ਰੰਜੇਰੇਟ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ) : ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਆਗੂ, ਭੁਲੱਥ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਅਤੇ ਆਲ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਸੁਖਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਹਿਰਾ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਸਦ ਭਵਨ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਧਿਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵਿਤ ਭਾਰਤ–ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਪਾਰ ਸਮਝੌਤੇ ’ਤੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਜਤਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਉਤਪਾਦਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਯਾਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਣ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤੀ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ-ਰੋਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰੀ ਖ਼ਤਰਾ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧੀਮੰਡਲ ਨੇ ਮੱਕੀ, ਸੋਯਾਬੀਨ, ਕਪਾਹ, ਫਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਕੇ ਮੇਵਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਫਸਲਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਸੰਭਾਵਿਤ ਨਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨੂੰ ਰੇਖਾਂਕਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੇਤਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਦਮ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਖੇਤੀ ਅਰਥਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਖਾਦ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧਿਮੰਡਲ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ...

Sikh worship service held at Aitchison Gurdwara sahib in Lahore after 80 years Chandigarh 13 February ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A historic and emotional Sikh worship service (Shabad Kirtan) was held at the Gurdwara sahib on the campus of Aitchison College on Mall Road in Lahore on Friday, February 13. Pakistan Minister for Minorities Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora and several others including local Sikhs have attended the solemn occasion.  Disclosing this Dr Tarunjeet Singh Butalia, who has organised this program with the help of college authorities, informed that local ragi jatha comprising Harwinder Singh, Akshaydeep Singh and Dalip Singh recited the hymns of Gurbani.  He further informed that the Gurdwara sahib had been closed due to lack of Sikh students since 1947 but was maintained by the College administration.
