Chabeel and Langar organized at Golf Link TDI on Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s Martyrdom Day and Nirjala Ekadashi Devotees served cold sweet water, chole and kada prasad S.A.S.Nagar 28 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A chabeel of cold sweet water, chole and kada prasad was organized today at Golf Link TDI, dedicated to the martyrdom day of Guru Arjan Dev Ji and on the occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi. A large number of devotees participated in the sewa with great faith. An Ardas was also performed before starting the sharbat sewa. This chabeel is organized every year at Golf Link, where men, women and children attend in large numbers. The organizers said that keeping the summer heat in mind, special arrangements for cold sweet water were made for passersby and devotees. Along with this, chole and kada prasad were also distributed as Guru Ka Langar. The sangat appreciated the service and said that such sewa during religious occasions strengthens brotherhood and the spirit of service in society.
Inauguration of Pulse Polio Campaign at Sector 24, Chandigarh Chandigarh 28 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) :The Health Department, Chandigarh Administration, organized a Pulse Polio Campaign, which was inaugurated at Sector 24, Chandigarh. Sh. Ravinder Singh Billa, Chairman, Market Welfare Association, Sector 24, along with Avnish Bansal, President Market Welfare Association, Sector 24 and Dr.Suriti (A.M.O.), ANM and Sector Supervisor Babita, Sector 24, formally inaugurated the campaign. A Pulse Polio Camp was set up at AAM AYUSH, Sector 24/B, Chandigarh, where children were vaccinated. Vaccination booths were also arranged at three other different locations in Sector 24, Chandigarh. Vaccination carrier boxes were distributed for use at various booths to ensure the immunization drive's smooth and effective implementation.
