Women’s Cricket to Get a Boost; Promising UTCA Players to Receive TenXU Cricket Shoes Chandigarh 13 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : In a bid to encourage women’s cricket and support emerging talent, TenXU will organise a special felicitation ceremony in Mohali on July 15. During the event, promising women cricketers from the Union Territory Cricket Association (UTCA) will be honoured with TenXU Cricket Shoes in recognition of their dedication, hard work and achievements. Demand Raised in Chandigarh to Declare Cow as ‘Rashtra Mata’; Memorandum Submitted to MP Manish Tewari Chandigarh 13 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A delegation of social activists on Monday submitted a memorandum to Chandigarh Member of Parliament Manish Tewari, urging the Government of India to declare the cow as “Rashtra Mata” (National Mother) and to implement an effective national policy for the protection of cattle across the country. The memorandum was addressed to the President of India, the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of Punjab. According to Ashok Tiwari, National Spokesperson of Shri Hindu Takht, the memorandum stated that the cow holds a unique place in India’s cultural heritage, agriculture, rural economy and the faith of millions of people. No. 473) was held today, July 13, 2026, in Sector 30 under the chairmanship of Union President Harkesh Chand. In this emergency meeting, former General Secretary M.M. Subramanyam was dismissed from his post and primary membership due to allegations of involvement in anti-union activities and collusion with anti-social elements seeking to weaken the union. S.
