EcoSikh plans to revive Guru Gobind Singh’s ‘Baaj’ a bird on verge of extinction in Punjab Aims to plant 350 forests to mark Guru Tegh Bahadur’s 350th Martyrdom Anniversary Chandigarh 15 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : EcoSikh, a global Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO) & a response from the Sikh community to the threats of climate change and the deterioration of the natural environment, has unveiled a major plan aimed at revival of ‘Baaj’ - the raptor associated closely with Guru Gobind Singh. The plan will be implemented in collaboration with Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS), a Mumbai-based 140-year-old organization. The idea is to rehabilitate ‘Baaj’ or Northern Goshawk, the official bird of Punjab and another falcon breed, the Shaheen Baaj. ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਮੈਕਸ ਦੀ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੀ ਪੋਲ ਕਿਹਾ, ਪੈਸਾ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ’ਚ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ.ਨਗਰ 28 ਸਤੰਬਰ ( ਰਣਜੀਤ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ) : ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਹਰਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ.ਨਗਰ (ਮੋਹਾਲੀ) ਦੇ ਇਕ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦੀ ਪੋਲ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੈਸਾ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਐਂਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਉਤੇ ਪੋਸਟ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਹਰਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਨੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ, ‘ਅੱਜ ਮੈਕਸ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਣਗਹਿਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਸਾ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਹੋੜ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਨੇੜਿਉਂ ਆਏ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ “ਫਾਈਲ ਬਣਾਉਣ” ਦੇ ਬਹਾਨੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਬਿਠਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,ਜਦਕਿ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਵਾਰਡ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਮੀਰਪੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ 20-25 ਮਿੰਟ ਐਂਬੂਲੈਂਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਹਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਆਖ਼ਿਰਕਾਰ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਖਲ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਪਿਆ,...
