Honda India Foundation to hand over 50 QRT Vehicles to Chandigarh Police on Wednesday
Chandigarh 6 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : In a significant initiative to strengthen road safety and public service, Honda India Foundation will hand over 50 Quick Response Team (QRT) 350 CC Motorcycles to the Chandigarh Police. Themed “Sadak Sahayak… Surakshit Marg, Surakshit Jeevan!” (Road Assistants – Safe Roads, Safe Lives), the flag-off ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 8 at 9:00 AM at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh. The event will be graced by Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria, who will flag off the vehicles. Home Secretary Mandeep Singh Brar, DGP Chandigarh Dr. Sagar Preet Hooda, IGP Pushpendra Kumar, SSP Chandigarh Kanwardeep Kaur, SSP Security& Traffic Sumer Pratap Singh and will also attend as distinguished guests. Rajeev Taneja, Operating Officer, Honda India Foundation, will represent the Foundation, while Karan Gilhotra of Platinum Honda will also mark his special presence along with other Honda Officials recognizing the exemplary service of the Chandigarh Police. This CSR initiative aims to enhance the emergency response capabilities of the Chandigarh Police. The newly deployed QRT vehicles will ensure swift and effective response during road accidents, emergencies, and traffic management operations. Senior officials from the Honda India Foundation, Chandigarh Police, and the UT Administration will be present at the ceremony. The initiative underscores the shared commitment to the vision — “Together for a Safer, Stronger Chandigarh.”
