Chandigarh 1 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : NHPC Limited (a Navratna company of the Government of India), Regional Office, Chandigarh, under the guidance of Executive Director Aditya Gautam, organized "Swachhotsav-2025." A lecture on e-waste was held today at Maharshi Dayanand Public School, MDAV Bhawan, Dariya, Chandigarh. Vivek Dubey, from the IT Department, who was present as the keynote speaker, emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the surroundings and using dustbins for garbage. He emphasized that everyone must start the Swachhotsav with themselves. If people practice cleanliness, diseases will automatically disappear. He added that people burn copper wires to extract copper, which pollutes the environment. He added that improper disposal of chemicals causes them to seep into the ground and mix with water. Drinking such water causes serious diseases. He said that gadgets should also be used with caution. He asked to reuse things made from natural resources. He inspired the students to actively participate in making the country clean. Senior Manager (Public Relations) Dolly Singh said that NHPC is giving its full participation in public welfare works. It is always striving especially for the upliftment of rural areas. Rajesh Kumar also addressed the students on this occasion. Refreshments were also given to all the participants.
