Chandigarh 7 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Due to the recent floods in Punjab, many families have been badly affected and are worried about their future. In such difficult times, social worker Dr. Pooja Singh has come forward to support 500 girls. Under this free course scheme, every girl from any flood-affected area of Punjab will be given a beauty course worth up to ₹50,000 completely free of cost. Social worker Dr. Pooja Singh MD, NIIBS said that we have centers in all the districts of Punjab and in them these girls will be given this education near their homes. Ishan Singh said that the objective of this scheme is to make self-reliant those girls who are worried about their future and to give them a new path in life. It is noteworthy that Dr. Pooja Singh has always been working for the empowerment and education of girls. Due to this initiative of hers, thousands of girls have achieved success in their careers and have become self-reliant. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pooja Singh, MD, NIIBS, said, "The floods have destroyed homes, but not dreams. We want every girl to create her own identity." This scheme is a start in that spirit. We have emailed all district DCs about our campaign and requested them to share a list of girls in need; On this occasion, Ishan Singh said that we have informed the Chief Minister as well as Minister Aman Arora about our campaign and we will soon meet the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, and discuss the implementation of this scheme in the entire state. It will be our earnest effort that no girl in the state who aspires to become self-reliant is deprived of skill-based education due to lack of fees.
