Women danced vigorously in pre-Karva Chauth celebrations.
Chandigarh 8 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : With only two days left for Karva Chauth, celebrations have intensified. The markets are abuzz with Karva Chauth celebrations, and ladies clubs are also celebrating with greater enthusiasm. On Friday, a pre-Karva celebration was organized by the Sakhi Sangam Club in Sector 21. Women arrived dressed up for the celebrations. Games, ramp walks, and dance were the main attractions. Around 100 women from the city participated in the event, adding to the excitement of the Karva Chauth celebrations. Amita Mittal, Suman Gupta, Anu Agarwal, Kavita, Swati, Shikha, and former Mandal president Sumita Kohli were also present. During this, the women, dressed in colourful and attractive clothes and adorned with sixteen adornments, were looking very beautiful. In this interesting programme, the women enjoyed a lot and had a blast. The women danced to the beats of the dhol and the tunes of Hindi Punjabi songs, showed off their mehndi and also enjoyed many other entertaining games including Tambola. At the end of the programme, refreshments were also arranged for the people present.
