Grand Inauguration of CSCL-50 – Champions School 50-Balls Cricket League, Players Displayed Outstanding Performance

S.A.S.Nagar 25 November ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The grand inauguration of the country’s first national-level, three-day CSCL-50 – Champions School 50-Balls Cricket League was held at Champion Cricket Academy, Kharar, Mohali, and was inaugurated by industrialist Yogesh Jain. On this occasion, CSCL-50 founder Ishan Jain, senior CSCL-50 official Kamal Tyagi, organizing committee member Gurinder Singh Atwal, Kumar, Yogesh Chaudhary, Shubham Sharma, Kunal Jain and other dignitaries were present. This championship, organized by the 50-Balls Cricket Federation of India, is being contested by 24 boys’ teams and 8 girls’ teams from reputed schools across India. The fast-paced, exciting and skill-based 50-Balls Cricket format provides young players with a modern platform that emphasizes strategy, fitness and teamwork. Expressing his happiness, CSCL-50 founder Ishan Jain said that the CSCL-50 league has been created to inspire young talent, provide equal opportunities for boys and girls, and prepare future champions. Senior CSCL-50 official Kamal Tyagi said that this league will not only promote competitive cricket at the school level but will also develop discipline, team spirit and self-confidence among the youth. Organizing committee member Gurinder Singh Atwal said that Punjab has the honour of hosting the first CSCL-50. With its strong sports culture and world-class grounds, Mohali is fully prepared. He also informed that on the final day, the winning teams will be honoured with medals, trophies and various titles.

First Day Match Results

Boys’ Category

The first match was played between DPS Mohali and Mount Carmel School, Zirakpur, in which DPS won by 74 runs. DPS scored 121 runs for the loss of 1 wicket, while Mount Carmel could score only 47 runs for 7 wickets.

In the match between Indus Public School, Kharar and AKSIPS-41, Indus defeated AKSIPS by 7 wickets. Indus scored 55 runs for the loss of 4 wickets, while AKSIPS could score only 54 runs for 4 wickets.

In the match between Mount Carmel-47, Chandigarh and The Knowledge Bus School (TKB), TKB defeated Mount Carmel by 9 wickets. TKB scored 58 runs losing 1 wicket, while Mount Carmel scored 56 runs for the loss of 1 wicket.

In the match between Aanchal International Public School, Chandigarh and K.K. Cambridge International School, Aanchal International defeated K.K. Cambridge by 39 runs. Aanchal International scored 79 runs for the loss of 5 wickets, while K.K. Cambridge scored 40 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

In the match between Vishwa Bharti School and Dev Samaj-21, Dev Samaj defeated Vishwa Bharti School by 8 wickets. Dev Samaj scored 83 runs losing 2 wickets, while Vishwa Bharti School scored 80 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.

Girls’ Category

In the match between AKSIPS-123 and The Knowledge Bus School (TKB), TKB defeated AKSIPS-123 by 10 wickets. TKB scored 13 runs without losing a wicket, while AKSIPS-123 scored 13 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Dev Samaj-21 defeated Government School, Panchkula by 9 wickets, while in another match, Government School, Panchkula defeated AKSIPS-123 by 10 wickets.

In two other girls’ matches, Dev Samaj defeated TKB by 9 wickets, while in another match, Dev Samaj defeated AKSIPS-123 by 9 wickets.
