Chandigarh 25 November ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Punjab University is our lifeblood, and Punjabis' sentiments are deeply connected to it. No force in the world can separate Punjabi University from Punjab, said Hardev Singh Ubbha, State Press Secretary of the Punjab BJP. He said that the BJP central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken historic steps for the Punjabis and the Sikh community, but the decision taken by the Punjab University administration to change the Senate has spoiled everything. Political opponents exploited this decision to portray the BJP as anti-Punjab. This attempt was made to tarnish the BJP's image in the eyes of Punjabis. Ubbha expressed doubts whether this was a conspiracy against the Punjab BJP's growing popularity. Hardev Singh Ubbha appealed to the Panjab University administration to immediately engage with student organizations, accept their legitimate demands, and peacefully end the ongoing strike. He clarified that he personally supports all of the students' demands. Ubha said that the Chandigarh issue was the creation of the Congress party, and that the Aam Aadmi Party's Bhagwant Mann government had attempted to undermine Punjab's rights over Chandigarh. He alleged that all political parties, except the BJP, had engaged in cheap politics instead of addressing Punjab's pressing issues. He finally said that Chandigarh is an integral part of Punjab and it can never be separated from Punjab.
