Upcoming Seven-Day Shri Ram Katha: Special Session Planned to Connect Youth with Indian Culture; Grand Mangal Kalash Yatra on 21 NovemberChandigarh 18 November ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : To bring Indian culture and spiritual consciousness closer to the younger generation, a seven-day Shri Ram Katha has been announced by the Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan and Shri Ram Kripa Sewa Trust. The announcement was made during a press conference held today at the Chandigarh Press Club, Sector 27. The press conference was led jointly by the organization’s representatives—Swami Gurukripanand, Swami Satbiranand, Dr. Harpal Singh, Sardar Satnam Singh (USA)—along with trust members Jagmohan Garg, Anoop Gupta, and Pradeep Bansal. Swami Gurukripanand Ji shared that the grand Shri Ram Katha will be held from 23 to 29 November 2025 at the Exhibition Ground in Sector 34. The event, scheduled daily from 6 PM to 9 PM, is free of charge and is expected to draw thousands of devotees. He also informed that the world-renowned Kathavachak, Sadhvi Shreya Bharti, will narrate the Katha. Sadhvi Ji has inspired millions across India and abroad with her knowledge, eloquence, and spiritual wisdom. Through the Katha, she will present Lord Ram’s teachings in the context of modern societal challenges such as drug de-addiction, female foeticide, women’s safety, and environmental protection. A major focus of this Katha is to connect young people with Indian cultural values. A special awareness session will also be organized for children addressing rising screen time and its harmful effects. A helpline number—9872302947—has been issued for children to register. Two days before the main event, on 21 November 2025, a grand Mangal Kalash Yatra featuring 1100 women will be taken out. The procession will begin from Bharati Bhavan, Sector 30, pass through Sectors 20 and 21 and major city routes, and finally reach the Katha venue. The Yatra aims to spread a message of world peace and social harmony. Former Mayor Anoop Gupta, Pradeep Bansal, and Jagmohan Garg stated that the life of Shri Ram is an eternal source of inspiration for people of all ages. The Katha is an opportunity to purify one’s mind, thoughts, and life. They invited all families to attend this spiritual celebration with their loved ones and friends.
