Nearly one lakh devotees from the Tricity will visit Shri Sai Dham to have darshan of Sai Baba's Charan Padukas brought from Shirdi.

Goraksha Gadilkar (IAS), CEO of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Vishwasthavyavastha Trust, Shirdi, personally brought the Charan Padukas under his supervision.

Goraksha Gadilkar expressed happiness at the enthusiasm of the devotees and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made by the temple committee.

Chandigarh 5 December ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Today became a memorable day for Sai devotees when the Charan Padukas arrived in Chandigarh from Sai Baba's supreme abode, Shirdi . Goraksha Gadilkar (IAS), CEO of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Vishwasthavyavastha Trust, Shirdi, personally brought the Charan Padukas under his supervision. At the Central Light Point, the temple priests blew conch shells, and the devotees welcomed the Charan Padukas with fireworks and drums . The Charan Padukas were brought into the temple premises with great fanfare and pomp, and were installed before Baba's idol with proper chanting, where a large number of Sai devotees gathered to have darshan of the Charan Padukas . Addressing the media on this occasion, Goraksha Gadilkar (IAS) said that he was overwhelmed by the unprecedented enthusiasm of the devotees. He also expressed satisfaction with the temple committee's arrangements and explained that he had brought the Charan Padukas from Delhi to Chandigarh, and that devotees continued to flock in large numbers throughout the journey . The day after tomorrow morning, he will depart for Jalandhar with these Charan Padukas. Nearly one lakh devotees are coming to Shri Sai Dham, Sector 29, from the Tri-City area as well as other nearby cities to have darshan of the holy feet of Sai Baba, who has arrived from Shirdi. Effortless and proper arrangements have been made to accommodate such a large number of devotees and to prepare a large quantity of unbroken food for them. This was stated by Ramesh Kalia, President of the Sai Temple Committee. He was speaking to the media about the preparations for the event at a press conference held at the temple premises today. He was accompanied by other officials, Manoj Goyal, Munish Gupta, Asit Manchanda, and Vimal. Ramesh Kalia explained that this is the first time such a large-scale event is being held at the temple, and ensuring smooth arrangements was a major challenge. However, the tireless efforts of the large number of dedicated devotees made everything go smoothly. He said that every year on 6th December, the installation ceremony of Baba's form is organised with great pomp and show at Shri Sai Dham located in Sector 29, but this year's event has become very special because this time the footprints of Sai Baba have come to Chandigarh from Sai Baba's supreme abode Shirdi, due to which a lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the devotees in the entire area. Later that evening, a procession of the Charan Padukas was taken out in the areas surrounding the temple. Tomorrow, December 6th, on Baba's 30th Swarup Sthapana Diwas, the Charan Padukas will be installed in the temple premises for devotees to see throughout the day, beginning at 9 a.m. During this time, many renowned singers will sing bhajans throughout the day, praising Baba . Sultana Nooran from the Nooran Sisters will be the first to begin the bhajan singing program at 12:30 p.m. Later, Padmashree Hansraj Hans and Master Salim, along with several other renowned bhajan singers, will also take the stage. Meanwhile, a recitation of the Sri Sundar Kand has also been scheduled from 3 p.m. Baba's unbroken langar will be served throughout the day from morning till late night. On December 6th, the devotees will conduct a holy bath for Baba's idol in the morning. The Shirdi Sai Samaj, Chandigarh, has completed preparations to celebrate the 30th Swarup Sthapana Diwas of Sai Baba at the Sai Dham Temple in Sector 29. The idol of Baba was installed in the temple 30 years ago, on December 6, 1995. The temple management has made preparations to celebrate this day with great pomp and show. Programs will be held from the temple opening at 5 a.m. on December 6th until nightfall. At 5:00 a.m., Baba's Kankad Aarti will be performed, and at 5:45 a.m., Baba's idol will be bathed by his male devotees. Following this, Baba's shringar (worship) will be performed at 7 a.m., and at 7:15 a.m., after offering breakfast and bhog to Baba, female devotees will offer flowers to him. Following this, starting at 8 a.m., Baba will have an 8-hour continuous recitation of the Sai Satcharitra. Baba's midday aarti will be held at 12 noon, followed by a dhoop aarti at 6 p.m. The ceremony will conclude with Baba's Shej aarti late at night. Meanwhile, the temple complex has been beautifully and attractively decorated with flowers and lights.
