Inner Wheel Club Chandigarh City Beautiful Organizes Pre-Republic Day Health and Community Service Event at School
School children celebrated patriotism, the club distributed sports equipment for physical activities, and shared health tips
Chandigarh 25 January ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Inner Wheel Club Chandigarh City Beautiful organized a special event at Government Elementary School, Rampur Kala, Zirakpur, ahead of Republic Day. The event was led by the school's Principal, Taranjeet Kaur, and aimed to promote health, sports, and community service. On this occasion, the school's young students presented patriotic poems and captivated everyone with their charming performances. They also danced to patriotic songs and filled the school with chants of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai". Monika Arya, the club's Secretary, provided the children with tips on daily brushing and maintaining overall hygiene. Additionally, the club distributed badminton rackets and shuttlecocks to the children, encouraging them to engage in physical activities and stay away from excessive screen time. Delicious snacks, including laddoos and pakoras, were arranged for the children and attendees, adding to the festive and joyful atmosphere of the event. On this occasion, Club President Anita Midha highlighted the importance of Republic Day and said, "This celebration is a small effort by our club to promote children's health, happiness, and development. We will continue organizing such events to bring about positive change in our community." Vice President, Sarbani Dutta, shared, "This program was a beautiful blend of service, community spirit, and celebration, reflecting the club’s commitment to social service and well-being." At the same time distributed IWC branded copies for the participants. Principal Tarnpreet Kaur expressed her appreciation, saying, "Events like this not only foster patriotism and community spirit among the children but also motivate them to stay healthy and participate in positive activities. I thank the Inner Wheel Club for organizing this wonderful event for our children and imparting such an important message." The event was attended by the club's key members: Anita Midha (President), Sarbani Dutta (Vice President), Charter President Usha Sharma, Monika Arya (Secretary), Monika Gupta (Treasurer), Kulvinder (Joint Secretary), members Veena Dheer, Palak and the school’s teaching staff, whose active participation and leadership made the event a success.
