Chandigarh Sector 22 GMSSS team won 6-0, Raina scored a double
Chandigarh 6 February ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : GMSSS-22 registered a spectacular victory in the Chandigarh Junior Girls State Football (League) Championship 2024-25 for KB Malik Memorial Trophy. They defeated GMHS RC-1 Dhanas 6-0 in the league match of the Under-15 category. Raina scored two excellent goals in this victory. GMSSS-22 made an aggressive start in the league match played at the football stadium of Sports Complex-46. On the other hand, GMHS RC-1 Dhanas team could not keep its defense strong. Vanshika scored the first goal in the 14th minute, while Ritika scored in the 22nd and Kartikaya in the 27th minute. The team took a 3-0 lead at half time. Raina Chauhan scored goals in the second half. They scored goals in the 50th and 51st minutes, while Manshi scored in the 57th minute to give the team victory. GMSSS-22 won the match 6-0 and added three points to their account. St. Stephens School continued their winning campaign. They defeated The Himalayan FC 1-0. The league match played between the two was thrilling and the only goal was scored by Deepika in the 37th minute. Spaill Villa FC lost 4-1 to GMSSS-Dhanas. For GMSSS-Dhanas, Rukshana scored two goals in the 13th, 46th minutes, while Khushi scored two goals in the 15th, 36th minutes. For Spail Villa, Gurleen scored a goal in the 45th minute.
