Chandigarh 7 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Co-incharge of Himachal Pradesh BJP and former state president of Chandigarh BJP unit Sanjay Tandon inaugurated the "Jalpari Carnival" today. Sanjay Tandon was amazed to see the water acrobatics and stunts of foreign trained scuba divers and he praised these artists profusely. Housing Board Light Point Dussehra Ground has started for the public from today 07 August 2025. In this, foreign sea scuba divers comprising about 20 members will attract and thrill the visitors with their acrobatics and stunts. These scuba divers are fully trained and accredited. Praising the divers, Sanjay Tandon said that this is a unique experience for the people of Tricity area. People will definitely be thrilled to see the underwater stunts and acrobatics of these artists. He said that the organizers have been entertaining the people of the city for more than four decades and present something new and different every time. Apex International Directors Sunil Kumar Goyal and Alankeshwar Bhaskar said that the country's biggest and first of its kind "Mermaid Carnival" has been presented in Chandigarh city. In this, foreign sea scuba divers will attract and thrill the visitors with their acrobatics and stunts. He is hopeful that it will definitely live up to people's expectations and people will come again and again to enjoy it. He said that foreign scuba divers will not only showcase their artistic talents but will also come out of the water at intervals and give people a chance to take selfies with them. He said that the entrance of the carnival has also been designed in a grand and attractive manner. The huge hoardings with cut outs of mermaids will attract people towards them. As soon as people enter the entrance, they will get a glimpse of mermaids frolicking. Apart from this, along with swings, toys and toys for children will also be available in the carnival. The main attraction of the fair will be the grand entrance and swings. Stalls of home decor, furniture, handloom, handicraft, food stalls etc. have also been set up for shopping in the carnival. At the same time, special arrangements have been made for children and adults to take selfies with cut outs of famous characters. He further said that apart from routine swings like Giant Wheel, Columbus Boat, Diana Carter, Caterpillar, Break Dance, Boating, foreign swings like Double Disc and Striking Car have been included for the first time as main attractions in the swings.
