Kishore–Amitabh songs revived golden memories at Sur Sangam’s ‘Relive Golden Era’ musical night; captivating performances enthralled the audience
Panchkula 13 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Sur Sangam organized a grand musical evening, “Relive Golden Era – Kishore–Amitabh Magic Unplugged,” at the Yavanika Open Air Theatre, Sector-5, Panchkula, under the leadership of Sur Sangam Panchkula’s founder, Dr. Pradeep Bhardwaj. The event was held as a heartfelt tribute to the legendary singer Kishore Kumar on his death anniversary and to joyfully celebrate the birthday of the megastar Amitabh Bachchan. alented singers from Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali transported the audience to the golden age of Indian cinema through their lively and soulful renditions of iconic songs. Panchkula Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal graced the occasion as the chief guest. Dr. Pradeep Bhardwaj, founder of Sur Sangam Panchkula, shared that the evening was a humble cultural tribute to two of India’s greatest artists. He said the participating singers took the audience on an emotional and musical journey through evergreen melodies that continue to live in people’s hearts. The evening featured enchanting performances of songs sung by Kishore Kumar and picturized on Amitabh Bachchan. Dr. Bhardwaj himself rendered a vibrant performance of “Pag Ghungroo” followed by “Aaj Rapat Jayein.” He kept the energy soaring with “Log Kehte Hain Main Sharaabi Hoon” and “Apni To Jaise Taise,” making the audience sway to the rhythm. Singer Nand Kishore electrified the atmosphere with “Khaike Paan Banaraswala” and “Tere Mere Milan Ki Yeh Raina.” Ashok Dutt and Suman performed romantic duets like “Tum Bhi Chalo” and “Dekha Ek Khwab.” The duo Mehta and Rozy showcased perfect harmony in “Intihaan Ho Gayi Intezar Ki,” while Jagdeep Dhanda delivered powerful renditions of “Bhole O Bhole,” “Rote Hue Aate Hain Sab,” and “Hum Premi Prem Karna Jaane.” Mehra and Rozy mesmerized listeners with soulful performances of “O Saathi Re,” “Hum Premi Prem Karna Jaane,” and “Pardesia Yeh Sach Hai Piya.” Sanjay and Sudhanshu sang “Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge” from the heart, while Baljeet and Seema beautifully presented “Jaane Kaise Kab Kahan.”Dheeraj and Pallavi brought emotional depth to “Jiska Koi Nahin” and “Salaam-e-Ishq Meri Jaan.” Other singers also captivated the audience with soulful renditions of “Kahe Paise Pe Itna Ghamand Kare,” “Jiska Mujhe Tha Intezaar,” “Chookar Mere Man Ko,” “Tum Saath Ho Jab Apne,” and “Zindagi Milke Bitayenge.” The performances not only revived the golden Kishore–Amitabh era but also took the audience on a nostalgic musical journey that continues to touch hearts even today.
