Announcement of Working Committee by Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar-Surjit)
For the first time in the history of Shiromani Akali Dal, proper representation has been given to common families and all sections.
Chandigarh 3 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar-Surjit) has announced a 41-member working committee according to the votes of the General Assembly. In addition, 15 special invitees have been included. Today, the working committee was approved by party president Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh after consultation with the senior leadership. In the working committee of Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar-Surjit), all sections have been given proper representation. For the first time, the youth category has received significant representation. Keeping all sections in mind, hardworking representatives from each group have been included in the working committee. Based on the votes passed in the General Assembly of Shiromani Akali Dal held on 11 August 2025 at Sri Amritsar Sahib, 31 members of the full working committee have been appointed. The President has appointed 10 members of the working committee, and 15 special invitees have been nominated. Their names are as follows:
