Chandigarh 17 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Various social organizations are providing assistance to the needy on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. This includes distributing goods to sanitation workers. Today, sanitation workers were given home decorations and sweets as gifts to mark Diwali, wishing them a Happy Diwali.
In this connection, with the cooperation of the social service organization The Last Bencher and Bharat Vikas Parishad East 1, on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, about 35 women and men sanitation workers working in Sector 21, which falls under Ward No. 11, were given gifts of diyas, mustard oil, household items, namkeen boxes and sweets. President of The Last Bencher Sumita Kohli and President of Bharat Vikas Parishad East 1 Neelam Gupta and their team honored the sanitation workers along with Diwali gifts.
