Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, a true devotee of Lord Shri Ram : Devesh Moudgil
Chandigarh 2 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Dussehra festival was today organized by the New Shri Tirupati Balaji Sansthan in Sector 48, Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria was the chief guest, while MP Manish Tewari, former MP Satya Pal Jain, and Davesh Moudgil were the special guests. Welcoming the Governor of Punjab, former Mayor Shri Davesh Moudgil said that Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria is a true follower of Lord Ram, and due to his dedication, honesty, and simple nature, he has won the hearts of people of all religions, including devotees of Lord Ram, in Chandigarh. On this occasion, in his message, the Governor urged everyone to follow the path of righteousness and live a life based on moral values, so that the message of "victory of good over evil" of Dussehra can be meaningful in their lives as well as in the society. MP Manish Tewari who was also present extended Dussehra greetings to all residents of Chandigarh and appealed to people to fight against all kinds of evils. Jain said that now is the time to spread Indian culture, religious traditions, and values to every corner of the world. Jain addressed the gathering as a special guest at the Vijay Dashami festival organized by the Shri Nav Dussehra Committee in Sectors 43 and 48 this evening. In Sector 43, Jain also lit the effigies of Ravana, Meghnath, and Kumbhakarna. Former Mayor of Chandigarh, Davesh Moudgil, said that today, it is necessary for the people of India to rediscover their inherent strength and, by believing in Indian traditions, make our country so strong that even the remaining Ravanas in the country can be destroyed. Also present on this occasion were Haneet Singh, Ajay Kumar Pandey, Jasjyot Singh, Sartaj Singh, Mukesh Kapoor, Nirmal Singh, Gurvinder Singh, Anamika Walia, Rama Matharu, G.K. Giridhar, Dr. Rajesh Mittal. A large number of dignitaries, including Garg and Gyan Singh Thind, were also present.
