Kabaddi Kumbh: 32nd Senior Circle Kabaddi Championship Commences

Chandigarh 11 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The 32nd National Men’s and Women’s Circle Kabaddi Championship, continuing from October 11 to 13, was formally inaugurated today at Panjab University. The event has been organized by the Amateur Circle Kabaddi Federation of India. The championship was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, former Member of Parliament from Chandigarh and Additional Solicitor General of India, Satya Pal Jain, while Panjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig was present as the Guest of Honour. On this occasion, former Mayor of Chandigarh and President of the Amateur Circle Kabaddi Federation of India, Davesh Moudgil and General Secretary since 1978, J.P. Sharma, welcomed the guests and players. After the formal announcement of the commencement of the championship, former MP and Additional Solicitor General of India, Mr. Satya Pal Jain, congratulated the Amateur Circle Kabaddi Federation of India for organizing this national Kabaddi Kumbh and extended his best wishes to all the men and women players who have come from across the country. He said that today, through sports, the youth are making India proud at the international level. He stated that our objective is to connect the youth with the national mainstream through sports and thereby build a developed, healthy and prosperous India. Jain said that sports inculcate discipline, self-confidence and a sense of pride among the youth. He also appreciated the Federation organization of this event with the slogan “Stay Away from Drugs, Live Life to the Fullest” and called upon all the participating players to carry the campaign for drug eradication to every corner of society.
