Urges members of Sikh community to submit their documents on time for speedy scrutiny for sanction
Chandigarh 2 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Delhi Cabinet Minister and former President of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for allowing Sikh Jathas to visit Pakistan on the occasion of Gurpurab of Guru Nanak Dev ji. In a statement released here today, Sirsa said that he was thankful to to Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi for respecting Sikh sentiments and granting permission for Jathas to visit Gurdwara Sri Nankana Sahib (Pakistan) on the sacred occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Purab. He said that this decision is about faith, identity and spiritual belonging. Despite the current political situation, Modi has once again shown that he personally values the emotions of Sikh community and ensures their voices are heard. He further said that he also thanks Home Minister Amit Shah for this decision that brought immense peace and joy to countless devotees, strengthening their bond with Guru Sahib’s legacy. He urged members of the Sikh community to submit their documents on priority for speedy sanction of their names. He said that Jathas sent by SGPC, DSGMC, Takht Sri Patna Sahib and other organisations will get sanction for this visit. He said that all documents should be deposited by October 22 so that Home Ministry could give timely approval. He also said that Ministry of Home Affairs has already apprised about the decision to Chief Secretaries of Punjab, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi, UP and Uttrakhand in this regards.
