Tarn Taran Must Choose Peace and Progress over chaos and lawlessness : Bajwa
Chandigarh 15 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Leader of the Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa today said that the people of Tarn Taran must choose between peace and progress represented by the Congress and the politics of intimidation, deceit, and lawlessness propagated by others. Bajwa was speaking after Congress candidate Karanbir Singh Burj filed his nomination papers from the Tarn Taran Assembly seat in the presence of senior Congress leaders. Former Chhattisgarh CM and AICC Punjab in-charge Bhupesh Baghel, PPCC president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, former CM Charanjit Singh Channi, former Deputy CM O.P. Soni, and several senior leaders joined Burj — marking a strong show of unity and resolve within the Punjab Congress. Bajwa said that the Congress remains the only credible and time-tested force capable of ensuring peace, stability, and growth in Punjab. “The people of Tarn Taran and Punjab have suffered enough under AAP’s reckless governance. Instead of good administration, the Mann government has unleashed state machinery to silence critics and protect the rising culture of crime and drugs,” Bajwa said. He added that the AAP government’s failure to control gangsters and drug cartels has eroded law and order across the state. “This election is not just about Tarn Taran — it’s about Punjab’s very soul. It’s a choice between harmony and hatred, between those who want to build and those who thrive on chaos,” Bajwa said. Expressing full faith in Karanbir Singh Burj, Bajwa said, “Burj comes from a proud Panthic and nationalist family — a third-generation Congressman rooted in service, sacrifice, and Punjabiyat. He stands for peace, progress, and the spirit of Punjab.” Appealing to the people, Bajwa urged voters to send a decisive message: “Let Tarn Taran stand with peace and progress. A strong mandate for Congress will secure Tarn Taran’s future and pave the way for Punjab’s revival in 2027.” “Let Tarn Taran lead the way — from fear to faith, from chaos to confidence. Vote for Congress. Vote for Karanbir Burj,” Bajwa concluded.
