Crimes like acid attacks should be dealt with under a policy of zero tolerance : Yadopati Thakur
Chandigarh 19 November ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Himachal Pradesh’s young leader, former NSUI President and former Youth Congress President, Yadopati Thakur, reached PGI Chandigarh today, where he met the woman who was a victim of the acid attack in Mandi. He inquired about her treatment from the doctors and assured the victim’s family of all possible support. During this time, he also provided financial assistance to the family. Thakur said that this incident is extremely inhuman, and such incidents in a peaceful state like Himachal shake the conscience of society. He assured that he would personally meet the Health Minister and the Chief Minister to ensure complete financial, medical, and legal assistance from the government for the victim. He said that crimes like acid attacks should be dealt with under a policy of zero tolerance, and the accused must receive the strictest punishment so that such incidents can be prevented in the future. In conclusion, Yadopati Thakur wished the victim a speedy recovery and said that, as a matter of humanity, he would continue to stand with the family at every step.
