Chandigarh 18 November ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Sardar Bhagat Singh Doabi, Chairman,Misl Misal Shaheeda Taran Dal has announced his full support for the Punjab Bachao Morcha (PBM) and its president Tejasvi Minhas during a press conference held at the Chandigarh Press Club, stating that the Morcha is raising a crucial issue by highlighting alleged illegal religious conversions occurring across Punjab. He claimed that certain self-styled ‘pastors’ are misleading innocent people through supposed miracles, magic, deceit, and financial inducements, and asserted that the Morcha’s statements are grounded in the realities faced by Punjabi society. Doabi alleged that individuals like Bajinder Singh have been involved in serious criminal cases, arguing that referring to them as “pastors” disrespects the term itself, and further accused Ankur Narula of committing sacrilege by cutting a cake placed on a Bible. He maintained that such figures operate without qualifications, regulation, or legitimate authority, misusing religious structures for personal or commercial gain, while emphasizing that Christianity does not endorse “instant miraculous healing,” which some groups allegedly promote to exploit vulnerable individuals for money. Reiterating PBM’s key demands, Doabi listed the implementation of an Anti-Conversion Bill, religious census, withdrawal of reservation benefits for those who convert, prohibition on using “Singh,” “Kaur,” Sikh identity or symbols after conversion, a ban on miracle-healing promotions, investigations into claimed “medical miracles,” RAW/CBI probes into the alleged involvement of foreign agencies, removal of Christians from Punjab’s minority list, and public boycott of leaders who support such religious centres. Calling the PBM movement a timely and necessary initiative to free society from superstition, exploitation, and fraud, Doabi urged all aware and responsible citizens to stand with the Punjab Bachao Morcha and strengthen this social campaign.
