15th Chandigarh National Crafts Mela concludes successfully at Kalagram
Chandigarh 8 December ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The 15th Chandigarh National Crafts Fair, held at Kalagram, concluded with great enthusiasm and grandeur over the ten days. Rare handicrafts from artisans and craftsmen from across the country captivated the audience, while the large turnout of the Tricity residents made the fair memorable. Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Furqan Khan, Director of the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), attributed the fair's success to the enthusiastic citizens of Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula. He said that people played a vital role in strengthening the livelihoods of artisans by adopting handicraft products.
He expressed gratitude to Punjab Governor and Chairman of the North Zone Cultural Centre, Gulabchand Kataria, for his patronage and guidance. He also extended special thanks to the Chandigarh Administration, Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, Engineering Department, Lalit Kala Akademi Chandigarh, print and electronic media journalists, social media influencers, invited artists, artisans, coordinators, and NZCC staff. In the end, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Tricity and said that due to their cooperation and enthusiasm, this national level fair became a huge success.
