Councilor Premlata, Senior Deputy Mayor Jasbir Singh Bunty and Deputy Mayor Tarun Mehta made efforts to establish a government medical dispensary in Sector 43

Chandigarh 19 December ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Area councilor Prem Lata of Ward No. 23 met with Health Director Saurav Kumar Arora and Joint Commissioner Isha Kamboj regarding the early establishment of a government medical dispensary in Sector-43. This initiative also has the full support of Senior Deputy Mayor Jasbir Singh Bunty.

During the meeting, Councillor Premlata informed the officials that residents of Sector-43 and surrounding areas, especially senior citizens, women, and children, have to travel long distances to access primary healthcare facilities, which causes them considerable hardship. Therefore, the establishment of a government medical dispensary in the area is urgently needed.

Senior Deputy Mayor Jasbir Singh Bunty requested the upgrading of the Awan dispensary to include beds for day care and a laboratory for conducting all types of tests. He stated that providing better and more accessible healthcare services to the general public is among the priorities of the municipal corporation. He urged the authorities to expedite the proposal for setting up a medical dispensary in Sector-43 so that people can get relief. Health Director Saurav Kumar Arora and Joint Commissioner Isha Kamboj assured that the matter would be considered seriously and the necessary formalities would be completed soon.
