Patiala 10 December ( PDL ) : Today, Shiromani Akali Dal Ghanaur constituency in-charge Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer and election in-charge Jathedar Jasmer Singh Lachharu held public meetings in various villages regarding the upcoming Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections. During this visit, they interacted with residents of Dhakansu, Gopalpur, Nerapra, Thoohha, Mohi Kalan, Basma, Tepla, Shambhu Kalan, Ali Majra, Ghaggar Sarai and Sheera, among other villages. Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer said that the people of Ghanaur are participating in the election process with great enthusiasm. Jathedar Jasmer Singh Lachharu said that the overwhelming public turnout clearly indicates that the people of Ghanaur want to see the Shiromani Akali Dal government return to power. The love and support received from the constituency has infused new energy into the entire team. Residents of the area stated that the Shiromani Akali Dal has always prioritised village development, farmer welfare, preservation of religious institutions, and employment opportunities for the youth. Villagers said that the work done by the previous Akali Dal government remains unmatched, and no other party has been able to parallel it. People expressed confidence that this time too, they will unite to ensure a decisive victory for the Shiromani Akali Dal so that new doors of development open in Ghanaur and justice reaches every section of society. In several villages, people openly said that they are fed up with the Aam Aadmi Party’s hooliganism, false promises, and deceptive announcements. Villagers said that the dreams of change and better facilities shown to them never moved beyond paper. They said that in every sector—agriculture, education, health, employment—they have faced disappointment and frustration. This is why people now want stable, impartial, and experienced leadership that not only makes promises but also stands on the ground and delivers.
Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer said that the people of Punjab are fed up with the Aam Aadmi Party’s failed policies and authoritarian behaviour. He said that people have seen with their own eyes how the party misled them with false promises and baseless dreams. Jhinjer said that the people of Ghanaur now want honest, experienced, and grassroots governance—something only the Shiromani Akali Dal can provide. He said that the passion and support visible in the villages today is a clear signal that people are fully prepared to bring the Akali Dal back to power. Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer said that Party President Sukhbir Singh Badal has always worked for the welfare of Punjab’s people, farmers, and youth. Jhinjer said that under the leadership and vision of Sukhbir Singh Badal, development works across Punjab’s villages moved forward rapidly during the Akali government. He said that people trust Sukhbir Singh Badal, and this time, the voters of Ghanaur will unite to extend strong support to the Akali Dal. Jhinjer said that Sukhbir Singh Badal’s leadership has always delivered real results, and that is why the public is returning to the Akali Dal with renewed energy and confidence. Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer said that the Aam Aadmi Party, which came to power by misleading people, did not give a single rupee in compensation for the losses—crops, homes, and livestock—caused by the recent floods in Ghanaur. Not even one representative of the party visited the flood-affected areas to understand the people’s suffering. The Chief Minister, who had loudly announced compensation, has not taken any genuine step till now. Bhagwant Mann only makes grand statements to glorify himself, but when it comes to real action on the ground, he runs away. Coming down heavily on the current AAP MLA Gurlal Ghanaur, Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer said that earlier he had tractor-trolleys of farmers stolen from the Shambhu border, and now he has crossed all limits by stealing candidates’ nomination forms. Such actions have completely destroyed the Aam Aadmi Party’s credibility among the people. Citizens are now fully aware of their anti-people policies. Jhinjer said that such steps are not only morally wrong but also a violation of the trust of Ghanaur’s people and the principles of the election process. On this occasion, Zila Parishad candidate Manjit Kaur (Lohsinbli), wife of Gurjant Singh Mahiduda, along with various Block Samiti candidates, party workers and leaders were present.
