Chandigarh 22 January ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A 15-member delegation of the Federation of UT Employees and Workers, Chandigarh, has arrived in Shirdi to participate in the 18th All India Conference of the All India State Government Employees Federation. The 15-member delegation is being led by the Federation's National Secretary Gopal Dutt Joshi, President Rajendra Katoch, Vice President M.M. Subramaniam, and Chairperson of the Women's Sub-Committee, Rekha Sharma.
It is noteworthy that the 18th delegate conference of the All India State Government Employees Federation will be held in Shirdi from January 23, 2026, to January 26, 2026. More than 1000 delegates from 28 states and union territories across the country are participating in this conference. In this conference, resolutions will be passed regarding the national and state-level functioning and organizational structure over the past three years, along with work reports, the problems faced by employees in India and abroad, the policies of the country's rulers, and the attacks on employees' interests and anti-employee decisions.
After a detailed discussion on the report over the four days, the report and the resolutions presented in it will be passed, and a new executive committee will be elected for the next three years. Future struggles will also be announced. In a statement issued to the press, the Federation's General Secretary, Harkesh Chand, also stated that the Federation has announced its participation in the nationwide strike called by central organizations on February 12, 2026. In this regard, a notice has also been issued to all officials, including the Chief Secretary of the administration, today.
