BJP’s Clean Sweep in Chandigarh Mayor Election, Historic Victory of People’s Trust

Chandigarh 29 January ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Bharatiya Janata Party has registered a historic victory in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Mayor election by winning all three key posts. Saurabh Joshi has been elected as Mayor, Jasmantpreet Singh as Senior Deputy Mayor, and Suman Sharma as Deputy Mayor. This decisive mandate once again reflects the people of Chandigarh’s strong faith in BJP’s model of development, transparency, and good governance. Following this landmark victory, BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde, who was overseeing the Mayor election as the central in-charge, addressed a press conference at the BJP State Office, Sector 33, Kamalam. He stated that this victory is not merely an electoral success but a clear endorsement by the people for Chandigarh’s progressive and development-oriented future.

Vinod Tawde highlighted that former BJP Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla completed her tenure with exemplary work, prioritizing public welfare and transparency. Carrying forward the same legacy, the newly elected Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor, and Deputy Mayor will work with full dedication, honesty, and commitment towards accelerating Chandigarh’s development. He further announced the formation of a C7 Committee to ensure planned and coordinated development of Chandigarh. The committee will comprise the Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor, Deputy Mayor, three BJP councillors, and will function under the leadership of State President Jitendra Pal Malhotra. The committee will focus on implementing development works and executing all constructive suggestions in the larger interest of Chandigarh.

To celebrate this historic victory, BJP workers marked the occasion with great enthusiasm at the State Office, Sector 33, Kamalam. The celebration included dhol beats, distribution of laddoos, and firecrackers, as workers congratulated each other and shared their joy. The entire party office resonated with an atmosphere of excitement, enthusiasm, and victory. During the press conference, it was reiterated that BJP’s objective is not power, but service. The entire BJP team will work unitedly with full commitment to make Chandigarh a clean, safe, smart, and progressive city.
