CBC Mandi Organises Public Awareness Programme on Central Government Schemes at Karsog
Mandi 17 January ( PDL ) : The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, organised a public awareness programme on January 17, 2026, at PM SHRI Government Model Senior Secondary School, Karsog, District Mandi, with the objective of creating awareness about major flagship schemes and initiatives of the Government of India. The programme focused on Three New Criminal Laws, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Swachh Bharat Mission, Right to Education, Ayushman Bharat Scheme, and other important Central Government schemes. The programme was presided over by the Principal of the school, Yadesh Gupta, who attended the event as the Chief Guest. While appreciating the efforts of the Central Bureau of Communication, he remarked that such awareness programmes serve as an effective bridge between the government and the general public. He further emphasized that dissemination of authentic information about government schemes plays a crucial role in motivating the youth to avail benefits of these schemes and move towards self-reliance.
Addressing the gathering, Sunil Kumar, In-charge, CBC Mandi, stated that the Central Bureau of Communication disseminates information about government policies and programmes among the masses through exhibitions, expert lectures, cultural activities and competitive events, thereby strengthening public outreach and awareness. Officials from the Health, ICDS, Education and other departments also participated in the programme and shared detailed information regarding various welfare schemes of the Government of India. Quiz competitions, cultural performances and the cleanliness pledge under Swachhata Pakhwada–2026 were among the major highlights of the programme. On the occasion, winners of various competitions and distinguished guests were felicitated by CBC Mandi.
