Chandigarh/Punjab 2 January ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Minerva Academy Football Club (MAFC) once again proved its supremacy in Indian youth football by successfully defending its title at the 5th Under-17 All India Baba Fateh Singh Football Cup. With this victory, Minerva added a record 98th major trophy to its impressive collection. In the final match, Minerva's young players delivered a powerful performance, defeating SBHS Mehna, Hoshiarpur 2-0. Both goals in the final were scored by star striker Laishram Mahesh, securing a resounding victory for the team. This prestigious tournament was played in a knockout format, featuring 16 top teams from Punjab. The highlight of Minerva's title run was its impenetrable defense, as the team did not concede a single goal throughout the entire competition.

Team goalkeeper Daksh proved to be a formidable wall in defense, registering clean sheets in all four matches. For his outstanding performance, he was chosen as the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Minerva's path to the title was marked by dominant victories. The team began its campaign with a resounding 10-0 win against Royal FC, with Azam and Denamoni scoring hat-tricks. Minerva continued to assert its dominance in every match through disciplined play, swift attacks, and precise finishing.
