Chandigarh 29 January ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Bharatiya Janata Party's National General Secretary Tarun Chugh today met Satguru Ji at Dera Sachkhand in Ballan, Punjab and took his blessings and congratulated Sant Niranjan Das on receiving the Padma Shri award. On this occasion, Baba Ji, the Sangat present there and the members of the Dera Management Committee expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that this honour is a matter of pride for the entire Raidasia community and is a symbol of the respect being given to the saint tradition by the Central Government.
Tarun Chugh said that Sant Niranjan Das life was dedicated to the values of service, sacrifice, and humanity. His contributions to social service, spiritual guidance, and social harmony are an inspiration for generations to come. Praising the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chug said that the Central Government is continuously honouring the saints and great men who have strengthened unity, brotherhood and human values in the society.
He also informed that during his stay at the Dera, detailed discussions were held with the organisers and the Dera Management Committee regarding the upcoming religious programmes and events to be held on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti, so that better arrangements could be ensured for the devotees. Describing Prime Minister Modi's initiative to develop Varanasi, the birthplace of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji, as a global spiritual centre as historic, Tarun Chugh said that it reflects the Modi government's sensitivity towards the Raidasiya community. In the end, he once again congratulated Sant Niranjan Das and wished him good health and long life.
