The year 2025 will conclude and the New Year 2026 will be welcomed with devotion and reverence at Shri Digambar Jain Temple, Chandigarh

Chandigarh 1 January ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A grand religious and spiritual program was organized at Shri Digambar Jain Temple, Sector-27B, Chandigarh, to mark the end of the year 2025 and welcome the New Year 2026. The program began with an invocation by Pandit Shri Ashish Ji, followed by the collective recitation of the Bhaktamar Stotra by the devotees.

On this occasion, a devotional music program (bhajan sandhya) was organized under the auspices of Jain Milan, Chandigarh branch, and coordinated by Smita Jain and Neeraj Jain. Local devotees enthusiastically participated in the program and presented several devotional hymns. On this occasion, Smita Jain, Anila Jain, Sandhya Jain, Pooja Jain, Anam Jain, Preeti Jain, and Anamika Jain created a devotional atmosphere with their heartfelt performances. The program concluded at midnight with a grand aarti (religious ceremony). All members of the temple committee were present on this occasion. Dharmabahadur Jain, President of the Shri Digambar Jain Sabha, extended New Year greetings to all the devotees present. Ramesh Jain, President of Jain Milan, Chandigarh, also extended his best wishes to the assembled gathering. After the program, hot milk was distributed to all the devotees. On the morning of January 1, 2026, the grand anointing ceremony of Lord Mahavira Swami was organized. On this special occasion, an anointing ceremony was performed with 101 sacred vessels, in which a large number of devotees participated and earned spiritual merit.
