Chandigarh 17 February ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Shat Chandi Maha Yagya recitation concluded with the Purnahuti ceremony at the Jai Mata Kinnar Temple, Sector 26, on Tuesday, February 17th. The Mahashivratri festival, celebrated from February 14th to 17th, concluded with devotion and joy at the Kinnar Temple.
The Peethadheeshwar of Jai Mata Kinnar Temple, Bapudham Colony, Sector 26, Shri Shri 1008 Mahamandaleshwar Maa Kamalinand Giri Ji Maharaj, Shri Shri Kinnar Akhara, Chandigarh, informed that the Shat Chandi Maha Yagya recitation, which began on February 14th in the temple premises on the occasion of Mahashivratri, concluded with the praise of Lord Ganesha and the glories of Lord Shiva. Twenty-one priests also performed the Purnahuti ceremony, which had been ongoing since February 14th. On the final day of the divine event, February 17, 2026, after the completion of the Shat Chandi recitation, the Mother Goddess was anointed, a special aarti was performed, and finally, prasad was distributed to the devotees. He explained that prayers were offered to Lord Shiva and the Mother Goddess for the welfare of all humanity.
