Punjab Governor flags of Rotary's gift of mithai for jawans  Chandigarh 2 November ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Governor of Punjab Gulab Chand Kataria, flagged of army truck as Rotary's gift of Diwali sweets for the jawans serving on our borders. Kataria commended the continued effort of the Rotarians in celebrating the festive occasions with the jawans who serve on our borders away from their families. 'Aap Hain to Hum Hain' is the dictum with which Rotary had been working since 2016, and sending their festive greetings to Jawans.  This year six tonns of mithai was flagged off which would be airlifted througb IAF from Chandigarh for distribution on the borders. Nexus Elante and Access Life Join Hands to Raise Childhood Cancer Awareness Chandigarh 29 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Nexus Elante, in a meaningful initiative to raise awareness around childhood cancer and show solidarity with children undergoing treatment, in collaboration with Access Life Assistance Foundation, illuminated its iconic “I Love Chandigarh” landmark in the mall  in gold. Held as part of International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, observed every September, the initiative used the symbolic golden illumination to spread a message of hope, strength and support for children battling cancer and their families.
