Symbolic Gorilla Delivers Strong Anti-Drug Message 200 youths launch ‘Chardi Kala Punjab – Drug-Free Punjab’ campaign in Chandigarh Chandigarh 12 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) :: The Vicky Middukhera Foundation on Saturday launched its month-long statewide awareness campaign, ‘Chardi Kala Punjab – Drug-Free Punjab’, from Sector 17, Chandigarh. Around 200 youths and foundation members participated. A street play highlighted the devastating impact of drug abuse, followed by a one-kilometre awareness march carrying the message, ‘Say No to Drugs.’ The foundation said the campaign will reach cities, villages, schools, colleges, panchayats and religious institutions across Punjab. It also urged the Punjab Government to introduce a ‘Punjab Recovery Card’ to ensure continued medical follow-up, counselling, family support and rehabilitation after treatment, along with employment and skill-development opportunities for recovering addicts.

Trident Group introduces Free E-Rickshaw Service for Students of Government High School, Patalkho, Budhni Budhni/Madhya Pradesh 7 September ( PDL ) : Reinforcing its commitment to community development and inclusive education, Trident Group, through the Trident Humanity Foundation, has introduced an E-Rickshaw service to provide free transportation for school-going children from the nearby communities of Gwardia, Patalkho, and Mahukala. The initiative has been implemented under the Foundation’s Village Adoption Programme, which focuses on rural development and Shiksha Protsahan (education promotion) through village transformation.
