Bhai Gurpal Singh Timmowal's impressive victory in the North Zone Championship brings honor to the Sikh community and the SGPC : Hardev Singh Ubha
Chandigarh 24 February ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : During the North Zone Championship organized by the Chandigarh Athletics Association at the Sector 7 Stadium, Bhai Gurpal Singh Timmowal (Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee) performed brilliantly in the 400m and 200m races, winning a silver medal in the 400m and a bronze medal in the 200m, bringing honor to the Sikh community.
BJP Punjab State Press Secretary Hardev Singh Ubha expressed his happiness over this achievement, saying that while the SGPC and the Gurdwara Amb Sahib administrators are embroiled in various controversies, such preachers are displaying their talent on the sports field and sending a positive message to society.
He said that Bhai Gurpal Singh Timmowal is a source of inspiration for the youth. Along with propagating Gurmat, he is also encouraging children and youth to stay away from drugs and take up sports, which is essential for the strengthening of society. Hardev Singh Ubha congratulated him wholeheartedly and said that such achievements enhance the prestige of Punjab and the Sikh community.
