The public murder of the AAP Sarpanch exposes the law and order situation : Fateh Jung Bajwa

Chandigarh 18 February ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Punjab BJP Vice President and former MLA Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa has said that the murder of the Sarpanch of Thathian Mahanta village in the Patti assembly constituency of Tarn Taran district has once again exposed the law and order situation in Punjab. In a statement issued here, Bajwa said that the manner in which this murder took place in public at wedding ceremony clearly shows that criminals and murderers in Punjab have no fear of the government or the law. He added that the person murdered was a sitting Sarpanch from the ruling Aam Aadmi Party in the state.

Bajwa said that if the elected representatives of the ruling party in the state are not safe, then God is the only one, who can ensure the safety of the common man. The senior BJP leader said that the way, the Punjab DGP and Chief Secretary shared the stage with the Aam Aadmi Party at the Moga rally, sent the message that Punjab's top bureaucracy had become partners in the AAP. This is why gangsters have no longer fear the police. He said that such a situation in a border state, like Punjab is a matter of serious concern. He demanded the Punjab Governor immediately intervene in matters of law and order in the state. Taking moral responsibility for this incident, Bajwa demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Director General of Police.
