PM Modi’s Vision Driving Industrial Revival in Punjab : Chugh

Chandigarh 25 February( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh welcomed the Centre’s decision to establish a Textile Export Facilitation Centre in Ludhiana, calling it a transformative step for Punjab’s industrial growth. He said the initiative would significantly strengthen Ludhiana’s wool, woollen and knitwear sector by streamlining export procedures and providing structured institutional support.

Chugh stated that the facility will extend technical, testing and procedural assistance to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, enabling them to align with evolving global standards and compliance requirements. He emphasised that MSMEs, which form the backbone of Punjab’s textile industry, will greatly benefit from easier access to international markets.

He further noted that the centre would guide exporters on trade classifications, export documentation and global quality benchmarks, thereby improving competitiveness and expanding export potential. This, he said, will contribute to revenue growth and generate meaningful employment opportunities for the youth of Punjab. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Government, Chugh said the decision reflects the Centre’s unwavering commitment to revitalising Punjab’s industry and positioning Ludhiana as a leading global textile hub once again.
