CRPF's 87th Foundation Day was celebrated with great pomp at 13 Battalion, CRPF Detachment Headquarters, Sector 43
Chandigarh 27 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The 87th foundation day of CRPF was celebrated with great pomp at the detachment headquarters of 13th battalion of CRPF located in sector 43. Kamal Sisodiya, Commandant 13 Corps, led the programmes on the occasion and said that being the largest paramilitary force in the world, CRPF plays a vital role in internal security, counter-insurgency operations and disaster management. The programme started with a cycle rally aimed at raising awareness about physical health and environment.
He flagged off the rally giving the message to the soldiers present to adopt a fit and disciplined lifestyle. Thereafter, the Special Guard paid tribute to the martyrs in memory of their immortal sacrifice. After this, the Special Guard saluted the Commandant, which is a symbol of tradition and honour of the force. In his address, Commandant Sisodiya highlighted the glorious history of CRPF. He highlighted the unique contribution of the force, referring to historic occasions such as the Battle of Sardar Post, Hot Springs incident and the Parliament attack. Also, he inspired everyone by explaining the importance of hard work, healthy lifestyle, and discipline. On this occasion, the Commandant honoured the soldiers awarded with gallantry medals by presenting them gifts. Members of the Rotaract Club were also present at the event and expressed their gratitude to Commandant Sisodiya and the CRPF jawans. They honoured the Commandant and other members of the force by presenting handmade cards, which was an emotional and inspiring moment. The programme concluded with positive energy and motivation with all the jawans reaffirming their renewed commitment to achieve excellence in their personal and professional lives and carry forward the legacy of CRPF.
