Majithia raises serious questions over alleged misuse of government treasury by AAP
Chandigarh 3 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia has raised serious questions, alleging misuse of the state exchequer by the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab. Sharing information on his social media accounts, Majithia wrote that the Aam Aadmi Party has been misusing the Punjab government treasury for the past four years to promote its political interests. He said that earlier, government schools and hospitals were painted in blue and yellow colours and formal instructions regarding the colour scheme were also issued by the government, which had drawn criticism from various quarters.
He further alleged that now PRTC buses are also being painted in the colours of the Aam Aadmi Party flag. Questioning the Chief Minister, Majithia said, “Bhagwant Mann, is this the revolution you had promised to the people of Punjab? Will Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers now also be asked to wear blue shirts and yellow pants?”He remarked that it appears the Aam Aadmi Party has turned into an “Always Advertisement Party,” which has done nothing for the real development of Punjab. Instead, he alleged, through widespread advertisements across Punjab and the country, the government has drained the public exchequer and misled the people of the state. Majithia said that the government’s time is now limited and every single rupee of Punjab will be accounted for.
