Over 500 pets from 30 breeds are participating.

Chandigarh 28 February ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The two-day "C-PEX - Chandigarh Pet Expo 2026," the 79th All Breed Dog and Horse Show, and the 80th and 81st All Breeds Pointed Championship Dog Shows, began on Saturday at the Parade Ground, Sector 17. The show is being organized by Cat Consult in collaboration with the Chandigarh Kennel Club, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), and the Small Animal Clinicians Association (SACA). C-Peks 2026 was inaugurated by Pradeep Kumar, Additional Commissioner of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation. The two-day event, which runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., will feature over 500 dogs from 30 breeds. The judging will be done by a jury of four international and four Indian members.

Pradeep Kumar, Additional Commissioner, Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, said that with the rise of nuclear families, the importance of pets is increasing, and this exhibition provides an opportunity for all stakeholders to discuss various issues related to pet welfare. The Chandigarh Pet Expo is also a model for the protection of birds and animals. Hardeep Singh, Founder and CEO of Cat Consults, said that pet owners can interact with veterinarians and gain information about the pet industry here.
Speaking to the media, Raminder Singh, CEO of Cat Consults, explained that the Chandigarh Pet Expo is a model for the protection of birds and animals. Over 500 dogs from 30 different breeds will participate in a variety of fun events judged by a jury of international judges. Dogs have proven their vitality and value by coexisting with human society for hundreds of years.  The Chandigarh Pet Expo is a great opportunity for pet owners to interact with veterinarians and the industry, said Mr. Hardeep Singh, Founder and CEO of Cat Consult, organizer of the Chandigarh Pet Expo.
Raminder Singh explained that the 79th edition of the C-PEX Pet Industry Leadership Summit, technical and educational sessions by industry experts, awareness and technical sessions by the veterinary fraternity, and an all-breed dog show and competition will be the highlights of the two-day event.
He said that the Chandigarh Pet Expo 2026 is a premier exhibition that is an ideal platform for the pet industry, manufacturers, wholesalers, and service providers to showcase pet products to consumers. The event will feature top dog breeders and breeders from North India, with over 50 exhibitors participating.  Which includes renowned brands like Himalaya Wellness Company, Virbac Animal Health India Pvt.
