Lecture on Women’s Leadership and Health Held on International Women’s Day
Chandigarh 12 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Centre for Public Health at Panjab University, Chandigarh organized an awareness program on the theme “Give to Generations.” The program aimed to highlight women’s leadership, health awareness, education, and their significant contributions to society. Commandant of the CRPF 13th Battalion, Kamal Sisodiya, was the keynote speaker at the event. In her inspiring address, she highlighted the role of women, their self-reliance, and their increasing participation in society. Commandant Kamal Sisodia specifically spoke about women’s health, menstrual hygiene, and the importance of using sanitary pads. She emphasized that awareness about women’s health is essential for the overall development of society.
In her address, she also stressed the importance of being aware of good touch and bad touch and encouraged women and girls to maintain self-respect and ensure their safety. She also highlighted the need to foster empathy, sensitivity, and social support for persons with disabilities.Through her live sessions, Sisodiya Madam has inspired more than 50,000 youth and women across the country. Through various online platforms, many have drawn inspiration and guidance from her words and experiences. The session at Panjab University reflected her continued journey of inspiring young minds, empowering women, and contributing to the vision of building a strong nation. Participants at the event found her thoughts extremely inspiring and awareness-raising. At the end of the program, the organizers honoured Commandant Smt. Kamal Sisodiya and expressed their gratitude for her valuable guidance. The event proved instrumental in spreading a positive message in society regarding women’s health, safety, and empowerment.
