The Aam Aadmi Party, which made big promises, now appears to have failed in resolving people’s real problems : Sidhu

S.A.S.Nagar 12 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Senior Congress leader and former Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu met residents of Sector-70, Mohali and patiently listened to their grievances. He assured them that their issues would be resolved at the earliest. Sidhu assured the people that their genuine demands would be immediately taken up with the concerned departments so that they can be resolved as soon as possible. During the interaction, Sidhu said that the Congress party has always remained committed to resolving the problems of common people and will continue to work as the voice of the public in the future as well.

Sidhu said that people of the area had given an opportunity to the Aam Aadmi Party with great expectations, but unfortunately the current MLA Kulwant Singh has not been paying adequate attention to the basic issues of the people. The poor condition of roads, the problem of dirty water and several other issues in the area have remained unresolved for a long time, yet no concrete steps have been taken to address them. He further said that the big promises made by the Aam Aadmi Party have remained limited only to paper. People had hoped that with the new government the pace of development would accelerate, but in reality people are still struggling for basic facilities. Sidhu said that the Congress party has always raised its voice for the rights of the people and will continue to fight for their interests on every platform.

Sidhu also said that in the last four years the Aam Aadmi Party government has failed to undertake any major development work in Mohali. People had expected that the new government would give a new direction to the development of the area, but unfortunately no significant change is visible on the ground. He said that during the Congress government several important development works were carried out in Mohali, including bringing a Medical College, which was a major achievement. Congress has always worked for the overall development of Mohali and will continue to prioritise the interests of the people in the future. He reiterated that the core objective of the Congress party is to serve the people and work for the welfare of every section of society. On this occasion, Mohali Mayor Amarjeet Singh Jeeti Sidhu, Senior Deputy Mayor Amrik Singh Somal and Satinder Singh Sodhi were also present with him.
