Warring asks Punjab govt to clarify position on cooking gas
Says, domestic cooking gas bookings have been suspended
Warns of crisis getting more serious in coming days
Chandigarh 12 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today sought clarification from the Punjab government on the issue of the supply of cooking gas in the state as domestic consumers are also not getting it.
He disclosed that not only has the supply of commercial gas been suspended, even the domestic consumers have not been getting any supplies for the last few days. The PCC president questioned the silence of the Punjab government on such a critical matter, which concerns every household in the state.
Warring disclosed that he had been receiving phone calls from the harassed consumers that the domestic bookings have also been suspended and there is no clarity among the distributors and agencies as to when they can resume the supply.
He said, the state government must raise the matter with the central government as the crisis is getting more serious every day. “We are staring at a serious problem when people may not be able to light their gas stoves and cook their food, while the government seems to be completely unmindful and unconcerned about it”, he warned.
