He also demanded Rs 50 crore to Rs 70 crores annual research grant for the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to improve the research facilities for better agriculture. The Ludhiana MP made a strong case for providing debt relief to the small and marginal farmers through one time settlement by waiving off their interests. Chandigarh October 6 (Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal): Tricity Unit of All India Bank Officers Confederation (AIBOC) organized a tree plantation camp at SBI Colony, Sector 42, Chandigarh to celebrate its 41st Foundation Day. More than 100 saplings were planted on the occasion, spreading the message of environmental protection. The event was organized in collaboration with SBI Officers Association and AIBOC Tricity Unit. Priyavart (General Secretary, SBI Officers Association), Pankaj Sharma (Secretary, AIBOC Tricity Unit), Sanjeev Deora (PNB), Manju Sharma, Sanjay Mahajan, Ravinder Walia, Navdeep Dutta, Atul Sharma, Neeraj Bandlish, Sunil Yadav and Satwinder Bhatia along with many other officers and employees were present in the event. Women and children also participated enthusiastically in the event. The event was organized with the aim of promoting environmental protection and community participation.
