Children's Day Celebrations held at GMHS, Sector 29

Chandigarh 13 November ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Children's Day Celebrations were held at Government Model High School Sector 29A Chandigarh today. City Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla was Chief Guest on the occasion. She inaugurated the 'Bal Mela'. Students of the school had themselves organised various stalls of food and games. She also released a Table Calendar hand made by children. Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla said that children are the pillars of our society and it's our responsibility to provide them with a nurturing environment that fosters their growth and development. She further stated that it was heartening to see the enthusiasm and energy that young minds bring to the table. The event was supported by the Fire Awareness & Safety Association (FASA).

School Headmistress Manjula Khanna extended warm wishes to all the children and invited everyone to work together towards creating a brighter future for children, a future that is filled with hope, opportunity and endless possibilities. Jasjyot Singh Almast President and Shikha Nijhawan, Vice President FASA jointly lauded the efforts of School authorities for organising such events and requested all to join hands to create a world that is inclusive, supportive and empowering for every child. Yogesh Bulandi, Chief Executive Officer Projexel Fire Safety Systems, Rajiv Kataria, Colonel Vivek Sharma, Daisy Mahajan, Anu Singla, Shushma Sahni, Neeru, Poonam Arora and Narinder Nijhawan attended the event especially.
