He also demanded Rs 50 crore to Rs 70 crores annual research grant for the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to improve the research facilities for better agriculture. The Ludhiana MP made a strong case for providing debt relief to the small and marginal farmers through one time settlement by waiving off their interests. Children's Day Celebrations held at GMHS, Sector 29
Chandigarh 13 November ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Children's Day Celebrations were held at Government Model High School Sector 29A Chandigarh today. City Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla was Chief Guest on the occasion. She inaugurated the 'Bal Mela'. Students of the school had themselves organised various stalls of food and games. She also released a Table Calendar hand made by children. Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla said that children are the pillars of our society and it's our responsibility to provide them with a nurturing environment that fosters their growth and development. She further stated that it was heartening to see the enthusiasm and energy that young minds bring to the table. The event was supported by the Fire Awareness & Safety Association (FASA).
