3000 students tried their luck in the entrance exam of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute.
Chandigarh 4 January ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI) successfully conducted its annual entrance examination on Sunday, January 4. The examination was conducted simultaneously at three centers in Punjab—Mohali, Bathinda, and Jalandhar. According to institute administrative officials, this year's entrance examination saw significant student enthusiasm, with over 3,000 candidates taking the exam.
This prestigious institute was established by the Government of Punjab with the objective of preparing youth for officer-level selection in the Indian Armed Forces. Following the examination, selected students will be provided training in physical fitness, military discipline, academic guidance, and specialized preparation for the NDA/SSB.
A representative of the institute said, "Every year, we strive to inspire talented youth from Punjab to pursue prestigious careers in the military. The increase in registration numbers this year reflects the growing interest in the defense services among the younger generation." According to the information, after the results are declared, the medical examination and interview process will be completed. The new batch of selected students will join the institute in April 2026.
The exam related guidelines and admit card were already made available on the institute's website and the candidates reached the exam centres before the scheduled time and appeared for the exam. It is noteworthy that the students who are unable to get admission in Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute can get an opportunity to fulfill their dream of getting selected in NDA by participating in the entrance examination organized by Chandigarh Defence Academy on 26th January.
