Government interference in Sikh institutions will not be tolerated, SGPC should come out of political pressure

Chandigarh 3 January ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Misl Sutlej chief Ajaypal Singh Brar has said that Panthic unity is the main need of the hour at present. Ajaypal Singh Brar said that it is imperative for Sikhs to show unity to resolve major issues related to the Centre at this time. Brar said that it would be a big mistake to limit this year to just an election year. This year is a year of protection and testing for the existence of the Sikh community and the Panth. Brar said that there are such great and respected personalities in the Panthic ranks, which, with their initiative, can not only strongly advance the issue of Panthic unity, a sign under the patronage of the great Sri Akal Takht Sahib Ji, Scattered Sikhs can centralize power under one constitution. Brar said that the talk of sectarian unity can only be effective when the leaders of the Akali factions give up their personal interests with a big heart. Brar said that although all of this is his personal opinion for Panthic unity, the sentiment behind it is that of the entire Sikh community. Brar said that the Sikh community will never accept government interference in Sikh institutions. He also appealed to SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami to come out of political pressure.
