Chandigarh 16 February ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Lakshya Jyotish Sansthan, Chandigarh, organized the thirteenth feast for Shiva devotees in Sector 29 today to mark Mahashivratri. The feast was organized under the supervision of the institute's Chairman, Astrologer Rohit Kumar, and President Piyush Kumar.
Renowned social worker Ravindra Singh Billa and social worker Praveen Kumar Titu were also specially present on this occasion. Everyone worshipped and praised their beloved deity, Lord Shiva, seeking his blessings and praying for the welfare of all humanity. Astrologer Rohit Kumar, President Piyush Kumar, Ravindra Singh Billa, Praveen Sharma Titu, and Victor Sidhu, along with Tammana Verma and astrology students from Lakshya Jyotish Sansthan, contributed to the feast.
Astrologer Rohit Kumar stated that the institute has been organizing a bhandara (bhandara) every year on the occasion of Mahashivratri for the past 12 years, and this is its 13th year. Today, after the morning worship and abhishekam of Lord Shiva, bhandara and prasad were distributed to the devotees of Baba. Water brought from Kailash Mansarovar was used for this purpose.
Special dishes at the bhandara included finger chips, lachha chips, curd potatoes, fancy lachha chips, pods, fruit-based sabutdana, sabudana saffron kheer, sabudana saffron kheer, potato halwa, potato shahi tukda, potato cumin fry, fruit chutney, curd mint chutney, potato tomato chutney, bhang pakoras, fruit cream, fruit chaat, bhang milk, ginger tomato chutney, sabudana potato tikki, savory rice kheer, sabudana khichdi, and tea and coffee.
Ravindra Singh Billa and Praveen Sharma Titu, while wishing everyone on the occasion of Mahashivratri, praised the Langar Bhandara being run by Astrologer Rohit Kumar for the last 13 years and prayed to Mahadev to continue this noble work being done by him throughout his life.
